Lead Foreman

Design & Integration is currently seeking a Lead Foreman to join our team. The preferred candidate will possess 1 to 2 years low voltage and supervisory experience with excellent customer service skills. Experience with audio visual system setup and troubleshooting is preferred.
A lead foreman will direct, supervise, and troubleshoot routine issues that occur on the project site. The Lead foreman also ensures that project specific safety rules are always followed on the site. The lead foreman will develop technician task lists and ensure tasks are being completed. The project foreman will also join in project specific foreman meetings and complete job-related tasks such as daily work logs and field ticket generation where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel.
  • Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors.
  • Ensuring that the project is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Supervising all technicians and engineers on the job site.
  • Liaison between technicians and project managers.
  • Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices and safety needs.
  • Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures.
  • Managing project quality standards.
  • Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably.
  • Regularly reporting project status to project managers and project engineers.

To maximize efficiency and productivity, it is crucial for a Foreman to possess analytical skills for handling unexpected issues and delays, while resolving any problems that may arise. It’s also helpful for a Foreman to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Customer-service skills to communicate with general contractors and administration to develop a positive working relationship.
  • Decision-making skills for selecting personnel and subcontractors for specific tasks and jobs to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Leadership skills for effectively delegating tasks to lower-level positions.
  • Speaking skills for providing clear orders, explaining complex information to clients and technicians, and discussing technical details with general contractors.
